Gems was very proud to partner with OwieBowWowie to make the hospital a little happier place to be.

OwieBowWowie and Friends is a 501(c)(3) that comforts hurts and hearts by donating "OwieBowWowie's" to children at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

Each year in the United States, over 20 million children are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Forty-two percent of these children have no family or friends to visit or comfort them. This is where OwieBowWowie comes in. 

OwieBowWowie is an adorable 14" hospital-approved plush stuffed puppy that brings hospitalized children comfort at a time when they are scared, hurting or lonely for a friend to simply be there with them. Our goal is to meet the need of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and provide an OwieBowWowie to each of the 1,000 children admitted each month.
